PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH

Pedagogically, we have come a long way and we finally adopted “The Project” as our work methodology.

Projects are undertakings which permit the tackling of challenges, giving meaning to our work so that every child can develop their abilities.

Since they are 2 years old, they learn English as a way of promoting an excellent pronunciation from the beginning.

With themselves

  • To use their bodies in a creative way.
  • To play freely, in a harmonious way.
  • To feel secure and emotionally stable.

With their environment

  • To develop positive emotional bonds.
  • To smartly adapt to new situations.
  • To acquire habits of hygiene and coexistence.
  • To share.

With the learning process

  • Spontaneous and fluent communication.
  • To promote an interest in the written expression.
  • To develop the natural curiosity of children.

From their first steps12 to 23 months

At this age, children are constantly learning the necessary abilities to build the foundation for their upcoming learning process.

In Saint David´s we encourage these characteristics in a natural and spontaneous way.

We stimulate communication both in quality and quantity.

At this age, a second language is learnt by exposure, just like the native language. Thus, if we start from the beginning, the child will naturally incorporate the language.

We support them through the development of controlling skills such as walking, making a circle, running and learning to stop without falling.

Our aim is that they learn to respect and care for their bodies by recognising their needs and being able to express them clearly.
