At St. David’s School, our aim is to provide children with the necessary academic and emotional tools to achieve their full potential and to prepare them for the future.
We are inspired by the educational philosophy of A. S. Neill, founder of the Summerhill School in England. Neill respected the individuality of each child, as he believed that a school that knows and supports the child - in an atmosphere of joy and care - will spark the child’s enthusiasm for learning and challenge their creativity.
This is why we propose an education based on values, aiming at the acquisition of positive skills in the different areas of their relations:
With themselves/ With their environment/ With the learning process
St. David’s School is born in the year 1982 thanks to the efforts of its founders Marta Alejandra Rabellino, Martha Gasparri and Fernando Álvarez, who wanted to provide a new educational option in which children felt emotionally supported while supplying the possibility to acquire as much knowledge as possible.
It is a secular and bilingual (English-Spanish) institution, full-time from 4 years old, and has always been situated in the heart of Pocitos, receiving students from the “Chas Chas” Kindergarten.
Our staff is comprised of a solid team of primary teachers and a large team of physical education teachers. We also have a Department of Psychology and a Department of Cultural Outreach.
